Just got back from an interesting business trip to NYC during Home Fashion week..The failed terrorist bombings in New Jersey and Chelsea occurred just a few blocks from our sales meetings at the Textile Building at 295 Fifth Avenue. The resilience of New Yorkers always amazes me..I think I’m a tough farm girl, but watching them keep on trucking just hours after the world gets shaken, yet again, is an inspiration..I had a terrific time, I adore visiting the Big Apple… but this time, more than others, I came home to my simple farm, took a deep breath of mountain air, and hugged my kids and a few of the less stinky farm animals a little tighter.
